One Step at a Time

Dear Future Me,
Earlier this week, a distant friend over dosed on heroin. The drug forced his heart into cardiac arrest. He passed way by himself, high on an illegal drug. Form a distance, I have been watching his family morn his loss. I can't help but think 'what a waste.'
According to the Huffington Post, it costs approximately $245,240 to raise a child. This man was no longer a child, but his parents spent that money to raise him. They poured love and compassion into him. His teachers put up with late papers and missing assignments. He caused many heartbreaks and countless laughs. Yet with one swift action, he cast it all away.He didn't wake up on Tuesday and say 'Today I'm going to overdose on heroin.' Rather, he began the process long before.

Lonp into each other in the hall way, Zach get down on one knee and RiAnna jumping for joy at the excitement of their engagement. Rather the two became friends and many flirty moves later began dating. Of course one day Zach did propose, but it wasn't at their first meeting.

Long story short, you don't just take huge leaps and bounds to do major things in your life- you take small baby steps. Good actions have good consequences. Bad ideas have bad concequences. Start taking your baby steps. One day you could do something major.
Love The Past You,
Brittany Reimnitz
